c0rnelius | steev: got it :) | 00:08 |
---|---|---|
parabyte | i found information concerning my machine | 00:09 |
parabyte | https://github.com/clamor-s/alsa-ucm-conf/commit/5581519b7a782abe846f435516d527b4738c6818#diff-cad3dbae44f7db27834eadb4325d48fa5916550a28c660122cc1ea5bdc5494f3 | 00:09 |
parabyte | yay! | 00:09 |
parabyte | this clamor dude is awesome | 00:09 |
steev | oh nice | 01:17 |
steev | i tried to look into the ucm2 stuff because of the c630 and.... i gave up | 01:17 |
c0rnelius | steev: i just stuck amixer junk in the tweak script and put a sleep on it. https://github.com/pyavitz/debian-image-builder/blob/feature/files/scripts/rzero-tweaks#L11 | 01:49 |
c0rnelius | The channels still say mono but I believe that can be corrected using pulseaudio and editing the conf. | 01:50 |
steev | maybe i'll give that a whirl | 01:51 |
Tenkawa | hey my box is a few miles away.. lets see if they deliver it in the next hour like they said they still are | 01:59 |
onefang | You could walk there and back in that time. | 02:00 |
Tenkawa | onefang: not here | 02:01 |
Tenkawa | this is "not" a walker friendly place | 02:02 |
Tenkawa | hey how close is the case/form factor for the radxa to the pi0? any of the old 0 cases reuseable? | 02:08 |
c0rnelius | Maybe. I don't know with that sdcard slot in a diff place. I was thinking an Acrylic one would work. Plus you would need to drill those holes out if it would fit in a pi case. | 02:13 |
Tenkawa | ok.. trying to figure out where I'm going to put it | 02:14 |
c0rnelius | mine is just sitting on my desk at the moment. i think I'm gonna order an acrylic one and just add some stand offs to it. | 02:17 |
c0rnelius | something garbage like this https://www.amazon.com/MakerSpot-Accessories-Raspberry-Acrylic-Protector/dp/B01KTFRZ30/ref=sr_1_33?crid=3RVVNYN8BPJO4&keywords=pi%2Bzero%2Bcase&qid=1643677876&sprefix=pi%2Bzero%2Bcase%2Caps%2C103&sr=8-33&th=1 | 02:17 |
Tenkawa | yeah I have something like that I can use already… I just need to get it out and ready | 02:19 |
steev | i have some | 02:48 |
steev | that are 3d printed from... | 02:48 |
steev | https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5023980 | 02:49 |
steev | if you have the external antenna connector though, you're gonna need to do some modding of the sdcard slot | 02:49 |
Tenkawa | nice | 02:49 |
steev | it also doesn't *quite* sit in there correctly, but i'm sure if i did some filing, it would be fine | 02:50 |
Tenkawa | I won't need external antenna's here | 02:50 |
Tenkawa | heeheh | 02:50 |
steev | the first 2 that i got had the external connector because that was all they had available | 02:50 |
steev | and it's not good to run without an antenna plugged in, apparently | 02:51 |
Tenkawa | yeah it can blow the transceiver | 02:52 |
steev | https://usercontent.irccloud-cdn.com/file/OvKIKodp/1643680341.JPG | 02:52 |
Tenkawa | we had to deal with it in the cb/ham world | 02:53 |
Tenkawa | I have some of those antennas fortunately just in case | 02:54 |
steev | https://usercontent.irccloud-cdn.com/file/IYPiG4SE/1643680472.JPG | 02:54 |
steev | and in the case | 02:54 |
steev | they come in a plastic.... "bin", you could always just cut some holes in it | 02:55 |
steev | https://usercontent.irccloud-cdn.com/file/Id3LqBq0/1643680574.JPG | 02:56 |
Tenkawa | well they still haven't moved the delivery to tomorrow although it says 3 min from now lol | 02:57 |
Tenkawa | they do deliver fairly late around here | 02:58 |
steev | c0rnelius: btw, i threw the amixer stuff into rc.local here, just to run it, and... it runs, but still get the fe.dai-link-X spam, and pavucontrol shows dummy output, alsamixer shows it if i switch to the radxazero device, aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav doesn't complain, but there also doesn't seem to be any output; I can't ever remember the correct -D parameter to test passing it the different devices | 02:59 |
c0rnelius | steev: That happened to me too. Thats why I put a `sleep 15s` on it. | 03:01 |
Tenkawa | all the times just disappeared… I'm not getting it until tomorrow :( | 03:02 |
steev | oh, got ya | 03:02 |
c0rnelius | I ran the ssh'd in and it worked. But for whatever reason woulnd't work as service until i delayed it from starting. | 03:02 |
c0rnelius | ran it* | 03:02 |
Tenkawa | going to go look outside just in case. brb | 03:02 |
c0rnelius | Tenkawa: that blows | 03:03 |
steev | c0rnelius: sure enough! | 03:06 |
steev | sleep 15 before hand and it works | 03:06 |
Tenkawa | yeah thats just mean… got all the way to my neighborhood… then… stuck until tomorrow | 03:07 |
c0rnelius | nice :) | 03:07 |
steev | finally a portable pron box | 03:07 |
c0rnelius | heh | 03:07 |
steev | gotta be prepared for the end of the world | 03:07 |
c0rnelius | indeed. | 03:07 |
onefang | Coz sometimes you just need to stop and watch pron, no matter where you are. | 03:07 |
steev | so now, just gotta get mesa whipped into shape | 03:08 |
steev | but firefox-esr works for now | 03:08 |
c0rnelius | panfrost kind of blows. | 03:08 |
steev | well, it's 3D only, and it's almost entirely RE by alyssa | 03:08 |
Tenkawa | this is usps burning me this week after ups did last week | 03:09 |
Tenkawa | uggh | 03:09 |
c0rnelius | Tenkawa: I was surprised. mine arrived around 13:00 | 03:10 |
steev | so, yeah, gotta figure out this led thing | 03:10 |
c0rnelius | whats wrong with the led? | 03:11 |
steev | on the "old" one | 03:11 |
steev | echo activity > /sys/class/leds/radxa-zero:green/trigger | 03:11 |
steev | makes the LED, obviously trigger on activity | 03:11 |
steev | on the "new" one, it just stays solid | 03:11 |
steev | cat /sys/class/leds/radxa-zero\:green/trigger | 03:11 |
steev | none usb-gadget usb-host rc-feedback kbd-scrolllock kbd-numlock kbd-capslock kbd-kanalock kbd-shiftlock kbd-altgrlock kbd-ctrllock kbd-altlock kbd-shiftllock kbd-shiftrlock kbd-ctrlllock kbd-ctrlrlock timer oneshot disk-activity disk-read disk-write ide-disk mtd nand-disk heartbeat backlight gpio cpu cpu0 cpu1 cpu2 cpu3 [activity] default-on transient flash torch panic netdev mmc0 mmc2 mmc1 rfkill-any rfkill-none bluetooth-power | 03:11 |
steev | rfkill0 hci0-power rfkill1 | 03:11 |
c0rnelius | oh. i use this - https://github.com/pyavitz/debian-image-builder/blob/feature/files/led-trigger/radxazero | 03:12 |
steev | that's fair, but i wanna know about cpu, not disk io :) | 03:12 |
c0rnelius | gotcha | 03:12 |
steev | and sadly, cpu doesn't actually seem to do cpu usage | 03:13 |
steev | it lets me glance over and tell that the thing is done compiling | 03:13 |
c0rnelius | hmm. I haven't played with it. | 03:15 |
steev | it's not a big deal,, i saw some people whinging about it on the forums since it was default-on | 03:16 |
steev | just to make sure, i tested both of them though | 03:16 |
steev | both new ones, i mean, the "1.51" versions | 03:16 |
steev | c0rnelius: also tested that setup with their kernel, and it gets audio working there as well | 04:47 |
c0rnelius | Thats good to know. I'm currently on 5.16.4. | 04:49 |
steev | well i have 4, so i have 1 using their 5.10, one using mine (just the latest 5.10 with their patches and a few of mine on top), 5.16.4 on the other 2 | 07:12 |
Tenkawa | steev: got it finally | 23:52 |
Tenkawa | Linux radxa1 5.16.5-radxa #1 SMP Tue Feb 1 16:33:44 EST 2022 aarch64 GNU/Linux | 23:52 |
steev | nice | 23:59 |
