steevc0rnelius: do you run off emmc? or just off sdcard?22:01
steevmy custom sdcard images work fine, but emmc is still being a pita.  i need to put it on one of them with headers so i can see what is going wrong, i just haven't yet22:04
c0rneliusThe 1.4 is always on emmc. The 1.5 has CoreElec on the emmc so most of my debian testing has been on sd.22:13
steevhm22:28
steevwhere does amlogic-boot-fip-master come from?22:30
c0rneliusThe one I use? It's a combination. Most from Armstrong, one or two from chewitt and one I compiled.22:43
c0rneliusArmstrong has them on gitlab22:43
c0rneliushttps://gitlab.com/superna9999/amlogic-boot-fip22:49
c0rneliusi think chewitts is more up to date now though: https://github.com/LibreELEC/amlogic-boot-fip22:50
steevi think, i'll snag your setup, i believe i'm just using the radxa fip stuff and running make22:53
c0rneliusyeah I tend to only add the fips I use. no reason to bloat the archive.22:55
steevthey aren't included in the final image, just the build system, which gets blown away after success22:56
c0rneliusi just mean the tarball they reside in. yeah its just for signing uboot or whatever.22:57
steevwhen you wrote to emmc, did you just use your image or did you that boot unlock thing and write uboot separately?23:04
c0rneliusi have a script I use that transfers the running os from sd to emmc. but you could just flash the img to emmc if maskrom works for you?23:06
c0rneliusi was never able to get maskrom to work for me, only fastboot.23:07
steevi do boot-g12.py rz-udisk-loader and write it to the disk that way23:08
c0rneliusmainline is diff as it create two uboot bins. u-boot.bin for emmc and u-boot.bin.sd.bin (or something like that?) for sdcard.23:09
c0rneliuswell if you created an img with u-boot.bin already flashed to it, it should work fine with the udisk-loader then.23:10
steevyep, and i use the different ones23:10
steevi just zeroed out the emmc, just to test23:10
