onefangOK I've finally found the source of one of the "bugs" in apt-panopticon.  Apparently the ISP supplying service to my home, or the router the landlady uses, returns "deb.debian.org.         473     IN      CNAME   ." instead of the actual domain name, at random.  Naturally when I was trying it manually to see what was going on, it gave the correct response.  Does that for random domain names.  Only does03:26
onefang that for my home instance.  Only caught it today coz it was doing it often, though still not all the time.  Anyone ever seen that before?  Think I'll just catch that error, and try dig @1.1.1.1 ... to bypass the broken DNS server when it happens.  The point of running it in various places is to see what the mirrors look like from many places on the planet, including what they look like from whatever D03:26
onefangNS server those places on tho .planet use.03:26
bb|hcbonefang: sounds like a broken DNS. Do you use your ISP provided nameservers or you run your own caching resolver?22:20
