hagbardfound another candidate for simply removing the dependency of libsystemd-dev  out of d/control10:11
hagbardlibczmq-dev10:11
hagbardthe tiny bit of code that depends on libsystemd-dev is already ifdef-ed, so it's already happy without libsystemd-dev10:13
onefangCool.10:13
hagbardAnd now the fun part: That define isn't even defined in the debian version.10:13
hagbardThe #define is commented out even in debian.10:14
onefangSo nothing to do?10:14
hagbardSo the devian version already doesn't use libsystemd-dev.10:14
hagbardNothing to to, besides dropping the dependency.10:14
hagbardThis would fix Devuan #62210:15
hagbardI can fix that, should I? The thing is, I'm not using that package myself, and I don't even know what it's for, so I would not have a way to test the built package. At the other hand, the fix is rather obvious and trivial.10:18
hagbardLeePen: ^ that was about Devuan #622. Another package where the dependency of libsystemd-dev can be dropped, as the only referencing lines of code are already ifdef-ed, and that #define is already commented out in the debian version.10:25
hagbardyep, builds fine without systemd10:48
hagbardLeePen: Could you please have a look at https://git.devuan.org/hagbard/czmq/src/branch/suites/unstable ?11:44
hagbardAnother package de-systemd-ed.11:44
hagbardAnother package I'd like to discuss: kexec is broken in Devuan due to a broken init script in the Debian package. The bug has been reported to Debian long ago, and patches that fix the init script have been posted to the Debian bug tracker. However, this has not resulted in a fixed Debian package. Forking the package for Devuan would close #615, #714, #715.12:14
hagbardWhat's the policy here? Should we fork it? It's a bug that rather should be fixed in Debian than Devuan. But Debian isn't all too keen on fixing init scripts, it seems.12:19
