xrogaan | isn't jessie deprecated? | 01:19 |
---|---|---|
fsmithred | yeah, jessie is at archive.devuan.org | 02:25 |
brocashelm | jessie, eh? ouch | 03:08 |
rwp | Why ouch? Jessie did good service. And is now past the lifecycle for it. But all as expected. | 05:05 |
brocashelm | i mean still on jessie | 05:51 |
brocashelm | at least be on oldstable IMO | 05:51 |
fluffywolf | I have a laptop still on jessie. it's a p-mmx. | 05:52 |
fluffywolf | debian stopped running on the p-mmx after jessie. heh. | 05:52 |
golinux | I'm on jessie too! | 05:55 |
fluffywolf | but only that one laptop. this one is current. lol | 05:56 |
brocashelm | all of my devuan installs (literally all: vm and bare metal) are ceres, rofl | 05:59 |
fluffywolf | I like my stuff to not be unstable. heh. | 06:00 |
brocashelm | haven't had any issues with stability tbh | 06:00 |
brocashelm | and i tinker a lot | 06:00 |
fluffywolf | I want to use my system, not tinker with it. | 06:01 |
brocashelm | i do both ;) | 06:01 |
rwp | I have a system with a build environment I can't lose that is still running Stretch. | 06:20 |
FilipZ | Hi! I just got some new error, while trying to connect to the previously saved wireless connection option. I get a "Failed to toggle connection state. GDBus.Error:net.connman.Error.NoCarrier: No carrier". That error message appears INSTANTLY, so there is no way that there was even any attempt to connect to the given router. I only began to receive this error not long ago, so I suppose that it could be related to some bad softwar | 20:01 |
FilipZ | It is solved by using a "reset" option for the settings of the failing connection, but it still may reappear later. Does anybody know what could cause this, and how to solve this? | 20:01 |
gnarface | seems like it might be dropping at the other end maybe? | 20:36 |
FilipZ | I don't know. I just didn't think so because it dropped instantly. After "resetting" this connection setting it could connect again. How can I check what exactly is the issue here? | 21:04 |
_iO | Hi everyone. I just installed devuan4 with lxqt. window screens are transparent and I don't have any clue where i can get all transparency things off. Any tips? | 21:04 |

_iO | Got another problem (I'm having fresh installed devuan4). resolv.conf will get deleted when I boot computer. I have to create it again every time when I start computer. Any tips what can cause this? I can fix this creating script which copies resolv.conf to /etc in every boot but I want to know what causes this. | 22:03 |
_iO | oh this is connmand related issue | 22:10 |
_iO | fixed | 22:13 |
_ds_ | _iO, for that kind of thing, I'd be likely to use the hammer known as ‘chattr’; the nail being put in is the addition of the immutable flag. | 22:33 |
