Wizzupenyc: it's coming03:22
* pere upgrade his leste unit for the first time in months. :)10:13
pere"194 upgraded, 13 newly installed, 3 to remove and 3 not upgraded." :)10:30
pereslightly worried about the removal list: hildon-desktop-rotation-support linux-image-n900 ti-omap3-sgx-dev10:31
Wizzuppere: seems ok10:33
perewhat is the kernel package for the n900 now?10:35
pereWizzup: any new features I should be looking at?  is the nb translation available now?10:39
mighty17[m]`PVR:(Error): PVRContextCheckGLES2: Unsupported context flags: 0x4. [0, ]` does anyone have some clue on what this is?11:41
mighty17[m]freemangordon: https://github.com/maemo-leste-upstream-forks/mesa/blob/maemo/beowulf-experimental/src/mesa/drivers/dri/pvr/pvrext.c#L235 robustness is supported by our driver and blobs, right?11:59
freemangordonyes12:30
freemangordonmighty17[m]: ^^^12:31
freemangordonIIUC12:31
mighty17[m]<mighty17[m]> "`PVR:(Error): PVRContextCheckGLE..." <- hm then why does it complain?12:31
mighty17[m]also freemangordon pvr_dri.so wasnt completely RE'd was it?12:32
freemangordonno idea12:32
mighty17[m]<freemangordon> "no idea" <- `$ grep -r -i "QueryDmaBufFormats"`12:43
mighty17[m]`Binary file lib/dri/pvr_dri.so matches`12:43
mighty17[m]so ig there is support? or am i doing it wrong12:43
freemangordonwhat pvr_dri is that?12:43
mighty17[m]the one from git.ti12:43
freemangordonsec12:43
mighty17[m]https://git.ti.com/cgit/graphics/omap5-sgx-ddk-um-linux/tree/targetfs/ti443x/lib/dri/pvr_dri.so?h=ti-img-sgx/zeus/1.17.494895712:43
freemangordonmay I have md5 sum of that file?12:47
freemangordonthough, I would say this is some mesa trace string12:49
freemangordonif you grep leste binary, it will have it as well, most-probably12:50
mighty17[m]i'll check maemo binary as well then12:53
mighty17[m]freemangordon: there is no pvr_dri.so in sgx-ddk-um :o12:54
mighty17[m]oh well ig i should use maemo sgx-ddk-um with your mesa?12:57
freemangordonmhm12:59
mighty17[m]or does it not make any difference?12:59
freemangordonit is mesa that makes the difference12:59
mighty17[m]yeah ideally it should work right?12:59
mighty17[m]https://paste.debian.net/1236968/ any clues whats happening here13:00
pereWizzup: sadly the reboot just gave me a login: prompt on a black screen. :)13:33
Wizzupwhat reboot?13:34
Wizzupin any case wrt what's new I am working on a news post13:34
Wizzupdist-upgrade ought to work but evidently it didn't I guess in your case?13:34
Wizzupdid it complete successfully?13:34
peremy reboot after upgrading.13:37
pereyes, completed successfully.13:43
perehm, when I try 'sudo apt upgrade' I am told of some conflicts...13:46
perelook like ti-omap3-sgx is uninstallable.14:01
peredoing apt dist-upgrade, three packages are held back: hildon-meta-n900, libel-dev and libgles-dev.14:48
pereWizzup: any clue how to get around the missing graphical view?14:49
Wizzuppere: that sounds like a problem, there is a way to get more info on the conflict, can you use ssh and print it with apt-get -s -o Debug::pkgProblemResolver=yes dist-upgrade16:10
Wizzupmaybe some package is preventing the upgrade16:10
Wizzuppere: and sry, I'm in a diff tz and it's late here (work trip)16:11
pereI was unable to ssh into it, so I only have the console login...16:15
peretried the usb network trick, but was unable to reach it, not sure why.16:15
bencohdoes n900 shows up in the host's dmesg logs?16:19
bencoh(as usbnet)16:20
Wizzuppere: you could also install the inew image, then you won't have the problems16:23
perebencoh: yeah.  I would even set it up with a dhcp server, but I hand out one IP range and the n900 get another IP outside this range.  tried manually setting IP on my laptops end, but ping still did not make it through.16:24
bencohI'd set the IP manually on both ends, and check with tcpdump on both ends16:25
perethe strange part is that the n900 can download from internet using the usb network connection...16:26
Wizzupthat's surprising16:31
Wizzupmaybe ssh isn't started?16:31
Wizzupsshd*16:32
bencohis ping filtered on leste btw?16:32
bencohiirc on maemo it is16:32
Wizzupno16:32
bencohfremantle*16:32
pereexpected ping to get through, at least.16:32
Wizzuppere: maybe you can write the output to a file? otherwise, just dd the new image17:39
WizzupI spend a lot of time trying to make the dist-upgrade work, not sure what could cause issue at this point17:39
pereWizzup: I would probably try to do so.  the conflict was with some gl related libraries.17:41
sicelobencoh: ping is only filtered on gprs on fremantle. Otherwise not filtered there too19:15
bencohsicelo: iirc it's filtered on usbnet as well once you're connected to gprs19:25
bencoh(probably a bug)19:25
siceloYes, you're correct then :-)19:37
siceloThe filtering is done by a script that runs on gprs up. It does the filtering using sysctl iirc (iptables doesn't exist ootb)19:37
siceloRight, it does `echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/icmp_echo_ignore_all`19:39
humpelstilzchen[Wizzup: A few weeks ago you asked me to create a xkb file for PP, still interested? https://github.com/nxdefiant/xkb-data/blob/maemo/beowulf-devel/symbols/pine64_vndr/pp-hwkbd21:21
humpelstilzchen[btw, does your keyboard work now?21:21
