brolin_empeyI thought that non-Intel chipsets no longer exist in the post-Pentium 4 era but apparently I came across a Core 2 motherboard with an nVidia chipset:10:32

brolin_empeyApparently this motherboard still supports NetBurst CPUs, so it is kind of still in the Pentium 4 era but apparently this motherboard supports Core 2 CPUs too.  So maybe non-Intel chipsets did not disappear until the Nehalem era?10:32
Hurrianyeah, LGA775 has Nvidia chipsets, but holy hell they were buggy10:34
{-0-}backupmenu? have copied the two .item files from /usr/share/backupmenu to /etc/bootmenu.d but no option for backupmenu on boot, what have I missed?14:21
{-0-}ok... shouldn't have done that, supposed to be an all lowercase backupmenu.item15:00
{-0-}# /bootmenu.sh never looks in /etc/bootmenu.d ?15:07
bencoh{-0-}: you need to run some update-whatever script15:28
bencohiirc15:28
bencohu-boot-update-bootmenu15:29
{-0-}looks like something didn't complete on previous installs, after purging and reinstalling backupmenu it presented a readme ( didn;t do that before )15:51
{-0-}rebooted into backupmenu and now creating a backup15:51
{-0-}bencoh, u-boot is next, but would rather make a backup first :)15:52
bencohah :)15:52
{-0-}what's the average number of re-flashes/package install fests till you get your package list *just right*?22:14
{-0-}this is a bit like my first pc and installing every program from every magazine cover cd...22:15
{-0-}getting it all wrong but having a lot of fun :D22:17
ontimeA little update with erased mtd1 aka cal partition for whose interest in. Not available: bt, fmtx, fmrx, kernel-power. That's what I noticed. Works: wlan, gsm but rtcom-call-ui sends much of dbus request for rename owner. Something automatically erases mtd1 during boot time. When I nandwrite cal partition from other works dev on working maemo then 'sysinfod --system' shows:22:34
ontimeCAL ERROR: header CRC mismatch at addr 00000000: calc 348c647a vs. 8b22b40622:34
ontimeCAL ERROR: both configuration areas are invalid; choosing first half22:34
ontimeso that's not gonna be working. Perhaps some Nokia's inside software can calculate header crc, but what would be next? This device is usable but without kernel-power not so useful. It will be data server. If someone wants test something on such device I can try test it for you.22:35
