siceloyay! today (4th July) is the start of the 10th year since i bought my N900 and using it every single day since then :-)01:35
Wizzup:)01:36
sunshavisicelo: congrats. I envy You. I still use it as a tablet(modem has failed).01:39
sicelousb port fell out in 2015 or 16 ... so i learned a bit about smd soldering since i couldn't find a shop i could trust with it. flex cable gave out at some other point, but luckily i'd bought a brken n900 from a friend, so i got a good flex. Then TS developed an issue last year, and I also replaced it with the broken N900 too :-)01:46
sunshaviMmm. You have done pretty good job maintaining it. Also. on an ideal wourld. My only solution could be putting a new modem on the SD card reader. Dreaming is nice :)01:48

siceloyes modem loss is rather painful01:49
sunshaviDo You remember perceptor from the tranformers G1?01:51
sicelono, i've never watched it :-)01:53
* sicelo hides01:53
sunshavithat character enlarged miniaturized objects. fixed it on large size. and then miniaturize the object again01:53
sunshavinice skill01:54
sunshavii still download videos on opi+2e and watch it on n900 (when on the move)01:55
norayrmaemo people, can you use n810 nowadays? it has an old ssl library, and no ssl connection in browser or chat is possible. i remember there was qt based desktop environment and os for n810. is that project alive now? what are the options?12:39
sixwheeledbeastnorayr: maybe postmarketos or maemo leste are functional for n810? if you need modern libs. a lot more focus in development has been on n900 with having cellular.13:29
siceloboth projects don't have support for N810. with Leste, you'd have to do something about 3d accel, which is (currently) required. Software rendering on N810 is asking for gray hair13:33
sicelopmos is based on alpine, and i'd wonder if it supports the cpu13:34
siceloif so, then possibly pmos with i3wm would be ok13:34
duudedoes the apt-get on original maemo still work?18:32
sixwheeledbeastmaemo has it's own version of apt, it wasn't really designed to use it but it should "work"18:42
duudesixwheeledbeast: is there a repo that could be used with it?20:17
sixwheeledbeastthe maemo ones or the mirrors20:19
sixwheeledbeast~repo20:19
infobotrumour has it, repos is "deb http://maemo.muarf.org/apt-mirror/mirror/downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ssu/apps/ ./ ;; deb http://maemo.muarf.org/apt-mirror/mirror/downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ssu/mr0/ ./", or see http://wiki.maemo.org/Repository#List_of_Maemo_repositories, or see ~jrrepos20:19
sixwheeledbeast~mirror20:19
infobotmirror is, like, http://maemo-archive.wedrop.it/ http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=1315143#post1315143  or extras-devel.merlin1991.at - for fighting hashsum error, or see ~rmo-new20:19
