golinux | This statement is on the website: | 00:17 |
---|---|---|
golinux | IMPORTANT NOTE: auto.mirror is now deprecated and will eventually be decomissioned. | 00:17 |
fsmithred | I guess it should be changed to "...has been decommisioned." It's beyond deprecated. | 00:18 |
golinux | Didn't that happen when jessie went stable? Or are we still keeping it around> | 00:18 |
golinux | ? | 00:18 |
fsmithred | it was working until this summer. | 00:18 |
golinux | Maybe I'll wait for a second confirmation | 00:19 |
fsmithred | when jessie got archived, I think, or shortly after | 00:19 |
golinux | LeePen: ^^^ | 00:19 |
fsmithred | rrq | 00:19 |
golinux | There is the meet tomorrow to confirm. | 00:20 |
rrq | here | 00:20 |
fsmithred | pretty sure that was a two-man decision. As I remember it. | 00:20 |
fsmithred | we deactived packages.devuan.org/auto.mirror in the summer, didn't we? | 00:20 |
rrq | I think nextime's hosts are supposed to be "turned off".. though we haven't dealt with the dns | 00:23 |
rrq | so the FQDN resolves | 00:23 |
rrq | but there's no service provided | 00:24 |
rrq | it's on the list to redefine dns (to point at pkgmaster) but that's still pending SSL cert fixup | 00:25 |
golinux | Maybe put on the pad for tomorrow? | 00:26 |
rrq | .. and nginx virtual service set up | 00:26 |
golinux | So I'll leave as is for now? | 00:28 |
fsmithred | yeah, no change | 00:29 |
golinux | rrq I see you whacked the latest spammer. More keywords? | 00:30 |
rrq | manual. was too abstract for a reasonable keyword | 00:31 |
Xenguy | Bloody spammers | 00:43 |
rrq | golinux: but the hammer has added wight now, to whack'em whether they have a project or not | 01:08 |
rrq | e | 01:08 |

xinomilo | hey @ll, one question... | 13:40 |
xinomilo | why did you choose gitea over other solutions? (gitlab eg.) any particular reason? | 13:40 |
xinomilo | did you also take a look at sourcehut? | 13:41 |
Montresor | I can't answer for others, but GitLab's bare system requirements are insane as compared to other options. Also, if you don't allow excessive JS, gitea is far more usable than GitLab. In the past I've noticed a bit of speed difference when browsing the one as compared to the other. | 13:45 |
xinomilo | ok, forgot old git.d.o was gitlab, so it was a move away from that.. so, nevermind gitlab... :) | 13:47 |
Montresor | Again, I'm not a dev. Isn't sourcehut still alpha? | 13:47 |
xinomilo | yes it is, but looks promising and has debian repo/packages available.. | 13:48 |
xinomilo | not a dev here either.. :) | 13:49 |
xinomilo | just looking to dump dokuwiki+redmine+gitolite for a single solution | 13:49 |
Montresor | (Personally I use gitolite+cgit and am quite happy with it, I have dokuwiki too and if I wanted a basic bugtracker mantis isn't too terrible and is pretty simple to set up.) | 13:52 |
onefang | I use cgit and mantis. | 13:52 |
onefang | While I am a Devuan dev, I don't recall why we moved to gitea, I wasn't involved in that decision. | 13:53 |
xinomilo | tested mantis like a decade ago, forgot all about it... will have a look again.. thanks for the tip :) | 13:59 |
