Wizzuprafael2k: did you make this pkg?00:49
Wizzupor is that one you found somewhere?00:50
rafael2kI made itt01:08
rafael2kI just made small tweaks to maemo-ringtones-mr0_1.1+m5_all.deb01:08
rafael2kfixed the config, some pathes, and added more ringtones01:09
rafael2kand bumped version01:11
rafael2kI ar'ed x it, fixed paths, added more ringtones, bumped version, re-created the md5sums and ar'ed r back, and just this.01:14
rafael2kalmost original01:14
rafael2k:P01:14
Wizzuprafael2k: m01:15
Wizzuphm01:15
Wizzuphaving a git repo with debian/ dir would be better01:15
Wizzupimho01:15
Wizzupbut yeah we ought to resolve this01:15
Wizzupuvos: I've been looking online for something like this https://www.amazon.com/Mugen-Power-Extended-Battery-Motorola/dp/B00GQDVXYM but it seems it's not possible to find anymore04:43
Wizzupuvos: this could be interesting https://www.ebay.com/itm/36216531298004:50
Wizzupit would be neat to have a mode where the phone doesn't charge from usb until it's ready with calibration (lowbat)07:22
rafael2kWizzup: let me know any there is any problem with it. Otherwise, I think it is good to go.10:39
rafael2klibcamera now has explicit PinePhone Pro support. Interesting from people running Android on PPP: "There seems to be 200-300ms of input lag on the PinePhone Pro. It's usable but enough to notice. Keep in mind that the PinePhone Pro, for example, uses an RK3399 SoC, which is from the Android 7 era (~2016)."11:17
rafael2kMaemo is so much lighter than anything else in the "market"11:18
_uvos_that sound more like a bug11:40
_uvos_android without google apps is pretty light, even android 12 works without lag on xt1602 wich is comperable to pp in perf11:41
_uvos_and android is way more responsive than phosh or plamo on the same device11:42
_uvos_no way ppp should be that laggy without something going wrong11:43
_uvos_Wizzup: even if you find one of those idk how usefull its going to be11:43
_uvos_since i doubt they where made recently i dont think it will have more capacity than just shoveing a new 2200mAh nexus 4 battery beneath the stock cover11:45
_uvos_the enlarged battery door might be interesting if you want to use the gpio pogo pins on the back of the device11:45
_uvos_to connect a spi lte modem or soemthing maybe11:45
rafael2k_uvos_, indeed, seems like some bug or lack of proper support11:51
rafael2kI think it was not meant to be... sphone just updated and broke ringing12:15
rafael2k:(12:15
_uvos_upps12:16
_uvos_really? can you post a log12:17
rafael2kI see it picks a different audio device now, "Speaker"12:17
_uvos_whats not ringing? sms or call12:17
rafael2kcall12:17
rafael2kdid not try sms yet12:17
_uvos_i dident change anything about the ringer really12:17
_uvos_so thats wierd12:17
rafael2kit is about the audio12:18
_uvos_right, i gues vibration works12:18
_uvos_still i changed only other things12:18
_uvos_could you post a log?12:18
rafael2kaudio in a call works! (keeps working)12:18
rafael2ksure12:19
_uvos_thats not related at all12:19
_uvos_since that audio dosent come from sphone ;)12:19
rafael2kSMS alert works12:20
_uvos_hmm12:21
_uvos_but that uses the same method to play audio12:21
_uvos_only the file name is different12:21
_uvos_anyhow the log will probubly show whats wrong12:21
rafael2kI write later, going to have lunch12:22
siceloin pavucontrol, there's no mic when in "phone call" mode. what's cause? ucm?13:19
siceloin pavucontrol, there's no mic when in "phone call" mode. what's cause? ucm?13:22
rafael2kI think the mic gets routed to the modem lane13:54
rafael2kbut I need to check13:54
rafael2kanyway, this is the least of the problems, as phone calls are working indeed13:55
rafael2kSpeaker button does not work yet in sphone in PP13:55
rafael2ksphone: playback-gstreamer: /usr/share/sounds/NokiaTune.aac is not a valid file13:58
rafael2kI don't get from where sphone is getting this information14:01
rafael2koops14:05
rafael2ksorry, that was my fault in the package I did14:05
rafael2kI will fix and re-upload14:05
rafael2k: ))14:05
rafael2kit is all working14:05
rafael2kWizzup, if you had not uploaded the new ringtones, wait a bit, I'll fix a wrong path in /etc/ringtones14:06
rafael2kif you have not picked, I'll not bump version, just fix the bogus path and substitute that .deb I sent the link yesterday14:08
sicelorafael2k: droid 414:24
rafael2ksicelo, sorry, different audio, prolly very different behavior14:59
rafael2kupdated the maemo-ringtones package, now it is ok: https://www.abradig.org.br/maemo-crazyness/maemo-ringtones-mr0_1.2+0m7_all.deb15:17
rafael2ktesting all the ring tones now to see if they are all goof15:17
rafael2kWizzup, now I think it is ready to be rolled out - all our good old ringtones are back15:21
siceloany way to make leste device work for usbnet on windows?16:22
sicelowut!16:25
* sicelo wasn't aware d4 also uses musb16:25
freemangordonuvos: because ti seems to be very hard to find a replacement battery for my tablet, is it ok to connect 2 smaller ones in parallel? lipo that is,each one with BMS17:26
sicelobtw thanks, gprs is indeed stable on the droid 4 now17:46
Wizzuprafael2k: the problem with it is that it is a .deb and not a pkg on git, so we'd have to import it17:52
Wizzuprafael2k: and I am not sure if we all decided that we wanted to pull this in, cc freemangordon ? (maemo-ringtones pkg)17:52
Wizzupuvos: check @ battery 4 battery17:53
Wizzupuvos: check @ nexus 4 battery17:53
_uvos_freemangordon: wrt paralell lipos, in general no issue, just make sure to they are close in terms of state of charge when you first connect them. having 2 parralell bms causes some non ideal behavior but mostly ones not relevant to the application in a mobile device.18:47
_uvos_the main one being that you cant load the cells to thair full c rating as differences in ir and the bms fets will cause one bms to cut out early on current spikes, which can create interesting ripple because the current constantly shift between the cells as one cell cuts in and out18:51
_uvos_but thats only applicable when discharging cells fast with current limiting bms18:51
_uvos_so not really here18:52
_uvos_sicleo: the mic goes away because it get connected to the modem same as on pp18:55
_uvos_technicly cpcap can echo the modem audio (and thus the mic + remote party) back to the cpu18:57
_uvos_but we dont do that in the driver18:57
_uvos_why?18:58
freemangordon_uvos_: I was thinking to connect them with some resistor initially, to equalize the voltages18:59
_uvos_no need18:59
_uvos_its not that critical18:59
freemangordonwell, but does not hurt, no?18:59
_uvos_no18:59
freemangordonI will feel better if I do not connect batteries with difference in voltages in parallel19:00
_uvos_but you can connect a 3.5v to a 3.65v cell with no problem19:00
_uvos_i do that all the time19:00
freemangordonok19:00
freemangordonthanks19:00
_uvos_when parralell charging model aircraft bats19:00
_uvos_just dont have on full and one empty or something silly like that19:01
freemangordonmhm19:01
Wizzup_uvos_: nice, 2053mAh (bionic)19:17
_uvos_ha got you beat :P19:17
_uvos_mine dose 2100 something often19:18
_uvos_(also bionic)19:18
_uvos_my nexus 4 bat callibrates at 1980 btw (so a bit lower than advertised)19:19
Wizzupstill happy with it19:32
WizzupI did have to remove the charge_full file btw19:32
_uvos_hmm you should not have too19:33
_uvos_thats a bold hw8x?19:34
_uvos_@battery19:34
_uvos_*old19:34
Wizzupyes19:35
Wizzupit was stuck at 1218mAh before or so19:35
WizzupI will get one or two of the droid 3 batteries I think19:36
_uvos_okay great19:37
_uvos_yeah my d3 bat is really tired too19:38
_uvos_did you manage to get some xt894 battery doors btw?19:38
Wizzupuvos: yes, I got the battery doors20:23
Wizzupuvos: iirc I got 2020:36
uvos20 !?20:50
uvosnice20:50
Wizzupyes20:54
siceloi received sms'es two times today with droid4/sphone. each time the tone sounded and the phone vibrated. no other visual notification however, so i had to manually open sms application and look for it21:05
siceloas for windows usbnet ... a pmos device does work. maybe we should consider reviewing our setup?21:07
sicelowe use CDC ECM, while pmOS uses RNDIS21:10
uvossicelo: do you have a custom sphone config?21:16
uvosah21:16
uvosi just reaized why21:16
uvosi forgot to add libnotify to the debian depends21:16
uvosso it probubly built without notification support on ci21:17
Wizzupuvos: heh21:17
Wizzupdon't forget the -dev depends as well21:17
uvossicelo: i wont be able to fix it rn21:18
uvosor tomorrow likely21:18
uvosyou can reload the old sms notification interface by changeing sphone.ini21:18
uvosits called ui-incomeing-messages-gtk or simmular21:18
siceloit's alright. i can wait for update as i hardly use it.21:19
Wizzupuvos: do you want me to try to the fix control file if that's the problem?21:23
sicelommm, my droid4 just died while idling on charger21:40
Wizzup'died' ?21:51
sicelounexpected reboot. no load whatsoever, and of course, no power shortage21:56
Wizzupsicelo: /sys/fs/pstore/ ?22:10
uvosWizzup: sure, that would be great22:10
uvosit just needs libnotify as dev22:10
Wizzupuvos: ok22:10
siceloWizzup: /sys/fs/pstore empty22:20
Wizzupuvos: rebuilt22:21
Wizzupuvos: sicelo: I see a notification window but no notification in tklock22:35
Wizzup(for incoming sms)22:35
sicelocool. i guess that's progress :-)22:39
